Reasonable terms. Plain English.

These terms apply to anyone using trymainsign.com or services run by MainSign. By creating an account or running a free scan, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Effective May 7, 2026.

MainSign measures how AI search platforms — currently ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI — describe your business when consumers ask for local recommendations. We run real queries on your behalf, score the responses, compare you to competitors, and surface specific recommendations.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes. Visibility scores depend on factors outside our control: AI model behavior changes, your competitors update their websites, and search trends shift. We can show you what's happening; we can't promise what will happen.

• You're responsible for the security of your account — your password, your recovery email.
• One person per account. Sharing access is allowed but not encouraged; if multiple people use one login, security and accountability blur.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of business information you provide.
• You won't use MainSign to misrepresent yourself as a business you don't own. One-off competitor scans for benchmarking are fine; impersonating another business and acting on their behalf is not.

• Don't try to break the service — no rate-limit bypassing, no scraping our outputs at scale, no probing for vulnerabilities.
• Don't use MainSign for misrepresentation, fraud, harassment, or any unlawful purpose.
• Don't share account credentials with third parties not authorized by you.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

• Free tier: a single anonymous scan, no credit card required.
• Basic ($19.99/month): monthly recurring subscription, billed via Stripe.
• Pro ($34.99/month): monthly recurring subscription, billed via Stripe.

All billing runs through Stripe. You can manage your subscription, payment method, invoices, and cancellation through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from your dashboard.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep paid access until then. After cancellation, your account remains accessible at the free tier; the historical scans and data we collected for you stay in your account unless you explicitly request deletion (see Your Rights in our Privacy Policy).

We don't issue mid-cycle refunds by default. If you have a special circumstance, email hello@trymainsign.com — we'll talk through it.

• Recommendations are derived from competitor analysis, AI search patterns, and structural gap analysis. They suggest specific changes likely to improve your visibility.
• We don't guarantee that implementing them will improve your score. AI search is non-deterministic; recommendations are informed advice, not a guarantee.
• Recommendations are advisory, not professional services. We're not your SEO agency, marketing consultant, or attorney. Implement at your own discretion.

The platforms we query — ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI — update their models and behavior frequently. Scan results reflect AI behavior at the time of scanning; past results may not be reproducible later. That's part of why MainSign is monthly: a single snapshot decays in value as the AI landscape shifts.

We make no warranty about future AI behavior, the accuracy of AI-generated responses, or the persistence of any visibility outcome.

• Your business data — your business name, your website, scan results about your business, recommendations generated for you — is yours. You can use it however you want.
• MainSign's code, design, and original content — our recommendations engine logic, our written copy, our editorial design — are ours. Using MainSign doesn't grant you a license to copy or redistribute these.
• You retain all rights to your business; we retain all rights to our product.

We aim for high uptime, but we don't guarantee 100% availability. Scheduled scans may occasionally be delayed by upstream provider outages or our own incidents. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We're not liable for losses arising from service interruptions.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We're not responsible for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages.

This is standard for SaaS services. It's not personal.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes are resolved in the courts of Arizona.

We may update these terms as MainSign evolves. Material changes are emailed to active subscribers. Continued use of MainSign after notice means you accept the updated terms. The latest version always lives at trymainsign.com/terms with the “Last updated” date at the top.
